Weird News

45:34: Mushoku Tensei has basically been the controversial anime this season, and it’s a big problem in China, as a number of companies are cutting ties with Bilibili for a number of reasons (and it started with a popular Chinese streamer)

49:58: Evangelion Lyricist Neko Oikawa went on a show in Japan…and told a wild story involving how much money she’s been scammed out of her Eva royalty money. The hosts attempt to give the cliffnotes version of it, but you should probably read the article.

52:51: We have a Kodansha/Shueisha collaboration! Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari’s Oshi no Ko and Miki Yoshikawa’s A Couple of Cuckoos revolve around similar themes, and that eventually meant they had to do a project together.

56:49: A couple of anime are now banned from streaming on certain sites in Russia, and there’s still more to review! One of them is Aki Sora

58:29: Matthew Emblidge got a certificate from The Guinness World Records that shows he holds the most Cardcaptor Sakura merch, and Helen and Justin have two completely different takes on this news, mainly because of how ANN reported this!

1:00:20: Demon Slayer will be discussed for a good while as it’s a behemoth of a franchise, and even more so since it’s an opportunity for politicians to use it incorrectly! And thus, this forces companies to make statements, like Shueisha had to because of this.

1:01:48: Finally, this is the section where you get to hear Helen laugh in real time as she sees what a Malaysian magazine had to possibly do to Attack on Titan in order for it to meet local guidelines.
