The OASG PodcastShow Notes

0:00: Helen and Justin return to chat over the internet, and about what they’ve been up to. Helen, when she’s not suffering in grad school, is watching movies (like My Hero Academia: Two Heroes) or documentaries (like that Hayao Miyazaki documentary). Justin, when not at work, is finishing up his summer anime season shows. (Like Gintama. Whenever that’s gonna end).

12:02: Laid-Back Camp is turning into a super-popular franchise.

12:50: Helen wasn’t optimistic at the time this was recorded about Emma reaching its stretch goal to get a Season 2 dub. (it did)

13:53: Justin manages to talk over Helen’s self-imposed time limit (10 minutes) to explain what happened at a con he didn’t even go to — Anime Fest x NYCC! But if you looked around the internet, you’d probably get a sense of what happened.

25:25: The two then talk about a bunch of anime they’re watching (or have dropped, or will watch) this fall! The list: Thunderbolt Fantasy s2, Golden Kamuy Season 2, SSSS.Gridman, RELEASE THE SPYCE, Double Decker, Run With the Wind, Bloom Into You, Bakamatsu, Anima Yell, RerideD: Derrida, who leaps through time, The Girl in the Twilight, Zombie Land Saga Iroduku, Kakakuri Circus, Radiant, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Hinomaru Sumo, Bloom Into You, Goblin Slayer Himote House, Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Golden Wind, Space Battleship Tiramisu

1:13:14: After all the fall anime discussion, Justin and Helen get into some weird news. Not a lot, but there was at least two that had to be highlighted — A.I.C.O. Incarnation‘s dub was so awful that it’s already been redubbed. The anime aired in March!

1:15:55: Not technically related to the podcast, but DDR getting a movie is so bizarre that the hosts are completely bewildered. (Also both of us wish we had read the description rather than just looking at the link!!!)
