The OASG PodcastShow Notes

0:00: After (pleasantries) are exchanged over the internet, Justin and Helen chat about what they’ve been up to. For Justin, it’s going to a convention and finishing his last few winter anime. For Helen, it’s re-watching old stuff. And old (and new) films, like Ocean Waves and Lu Over the Wall.

29:20: We get into the news portion of the podcast. It starts with video games? Specifically visual novels. And whatever Valve/Steam is doing, it involved threatening to take them down. Not great, especially after they’ve already been reviewed. They did relent a bit recently though, but there’s still a ways to go.

34:44: Marchen Madchen’s last two episodes have been delayed. To December. Welp…

37:00: Vertical had some Anime Central announcements, and one of them was Kino’s Journey!…the manga. Can only wonder the reaction in the room! Also announced a few more titles, and omnibus editions for Sidonia and Blame!.

40:30: Also at ACEN, Viz announced they licensed Accel World: Infinite Burst and Kakuriyo. The hosts only talked about Kakuriyo tho…

42:00: Not an ACEN announcement, but an announcement nonetheless, Seven Seas announced on Crunchyroll that they’re bringing over two The Ancient Magus’ Bride novels, and one’s gonna be released this year.

43:41: The actual talk of Crunchyroll adding a bunch more FUNimation and GKids titles happens some seconds later, but Helen accidentally set up Justin regarding a title that’s just plain…curious.

Anyways, both talk about the titles they’re excited about seeing on the service!

48:16: New Game+ Young Again in Another World is getting an anime…normally not too big a deal, except this is another J-Novel Club that’s getting an anime…Sam has all the secrets….ok maybe just a good sense of things. This somehow leads to Maoyuu being brought into this discussion.

51:47: Viz is bringing over the dark ninja story Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku. A few chapters are up already!

54:25: Finally, the podcast can only end on weird news, though this can also be sweet news: Missouri, the Comic Girls staff is watching you!!!
