0:00: Another podcast that has a big main topic means Justin and Helen have to dive right into the news…and it begins with the return of Kenya Suzuki to Galko-chan…after being arrested for possessing child sexual abuse material in December 2021!
4:35: Assassination Classroom has had a time with school libraries in the past year, and Pen America confirms this to be the case for real, since the manga’s banned from public school libraries at least 54 times; Kodansha’s opening up a global manga academy, which should mean many interesting stories will be created from a host of different people.
11:13: Jaku Amano’s A-DO manga will go on hiatus due to the author’s poor physical health; Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun‘s going on indefinite hiatus following the creator’s treatment of an unspecified illness; and Frieren has been taking a number of breaks this past year, and now after the newest chapter, the creators are both going to go on hiatus as they take stock of their health.
14:48: And in a bit of quirky news, last episode both hosts mentioned Masahito Soda and Kuro Tomiyama going on hiatus with Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange for an unknown reason. We might’ve figured out the reason!

26:40: We got some new manga available on simulpub sites! MANGA Plus now has Kazuya Konomoto and Ryō Yamasaki’s Kami Kill and
Hakuri’s WITCHRIV on their platform, while K MANGA added Tetsuya Okuyama’s K-9: Public Security Bureau, Division 9 – Special Abilities Countermeasure and A Mangaka’s Road to Japan, created by Spanish artist Juan Albarrán, to their service.
