Pandemic News

6:50: Uncle from Another World has been delayed due to COVID-19…again. For Justin and Helen, they recorded this part before it was announced yesterday the series will be returning in late November.

But some more information regarding the production circumstances suggest this might not actually be an outbreak!

11:57: Love Live! Superstar S2’s latest episode meanwhile was delayed due to the pandemic; The second SAO: Progressive film saw an indefinite delay before being announced earlier this week it’s planned for an October 22 release in Japan; And we have more Japanese talents catching COVID-19.

News

12:38: Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero film is now in the Top 4 all time in highest grossing anime films in the US, which makes it pretty noteworthy.

13:22: My Boyfriend in Orange will be on hiatus because the creator is getting ready to welcome a child into the world. The series is expected to resume sometime this Winter.

15:47: Creator Kei Urana has announced that overseas production for Gachiakuta has begun. Looking forward to seeing Kodansha likely announcing this before the year’s over.

Streaming News

21:08: Crunchyroll will be streaming more anime films this month, with Jujutsu Kaisen 0, the Odd Taxi film, and a bunch of Free!, Psycho-Pass and Code Geass films being a few of the headliners.

Weird News

27:31: The Dr. Stone consultant’s books have been taken off Amazon Japan! Apparently a prefecture designated it as harmful to children.

28:55: After the two hosts last talked about Yoshihiro Togashi they said he needed to decide either to end the series or get some help. Well, he opted to get some help!

30:36: Bikkuri and Rem’s Devil’s Candy will be serialized in one of Kadokawa’s magazines! Going from VIZ Originals to now in a Japanese magazine.

32:02: Warner Bros. Discovery has been making a lot of strange and bad choices over the past few months, but at least for now, Toonami will still stick around.

33:10: There’s probably more to the voice actor outspeeding a racehorse in a 250m Dash than the first paragraph Kim wrote, but neither of the hosts actually care…just the first paragraph is enough for them!

34:03: Somehow, we’re in a timeline where a Japanese court can side with a VTuber...I’m not sure anyone back in the 80’s or 90’s could’ve foreseen a case like this.

35:29: And in final bit of weird news, the 90’s American live-action Sailor Moon pilot has finally gone public. Many Sailor Moon fans were stoked about it. But for Helen, let’s just say she has a bit of rant about the entire situation involving this and the Library of Congress!
