Pandemic News

17:30: Anime Expo attempted to change their original COVID-19 policies. The change did not go well. But with two conventions recently trying to change their original rules, Justin and Helen wonder what’s the reason for all this.

20:28: The stage musical of Furumi Soryo’s Cesare manga will return in 2023 after it was cancelled in April 2020.

News

21:08: Berserk will be returning! Justin and Helen discuss this major news, where after over a year away, there’s a couple people willing to continue Kentaro Miura’s work.

25:03: A couple series won’t be running for a while, but one indefinitely; One Piece will be on break for a month as Oda prepares for final arc, but Ghost Reaper Girl will be on indefinite hiatus as Saike’s health has worsened.

26:48: Seven Seas recently released I Think I Turned My Childhood Friend Into a Girl, and one blog review pointed out a major issue, and it got to the point where the company had to respond to it. The two hosts talk about the issues they continue to have with their releases.

34:55: Apparently Aniplex, CloverWorks, Wit Studio, and Shueisha have formed a new anime company called JOEN. Join a company that hopefully pays everyone properly? We will all find out!

37:07: Unfortunately, two deaths occurred in the past week that were just announced: Billy Kametz passed away at 35 due to colon cancer; Jim White passed away at 73 due to lung cancer.

43:56: Fruits Basket -prelude- will be in theaters starting this June, which gets the two hosts all excited.

45:16: Captain Tsubasa 2018 is now available in Japanese, English, and Spanish on Roku; Season 2 of 1978 Godzilla is now streaming on YouTube.

Weird News

46:14: Remember AniUta? Well, the Japanese service is now going to end in July. The two hosts ended up thinking about a few more failed services thanks to this news.
