11:00: Justin and Helen talk about Kadokawa strengthening their animation department by increasing the anime that they produce to 40 new anime a year…which is concerning.

14:44: All of Drops of God is finally going to be complete in English, with the last 11 volumes finally becoming available this week.

16:00: Demon Slayer: Mugen Train continues to make more money in North America, as it’s now made $40 million.

17:40: In final news, a major situation appears to be occurring with Studio Khara and a number of threats to them, to the point where they’re likely working with the police to resolve this problem.

19:53: Nozomi Entertainment said back this February they’re going to release all of Sayonara, Zetsubou-Senseiall of it.

21:21: Sentai announced they’ve licensed the 6 Princess Principal films and RahXephon, and two discuss this news. Helen also throws in a weird factoid in this section.

22:52: Yen Press is partnering with Hachette Audio to launch Yen Audio, with the following five titles kicking things off:

  • Solo Leveling
  • Sword Art Online
  • Overlord
  • The Miracles of the Namiya General Store
  • The Saga of Tanya the Evil

24:36: Seven Seas announced after the TCAF interview Deb Aoki did with Nagata Kabi that they will bring a new Kabi work, My Wandering Warrior Experience, next year.

26:02: Kaiten Books now has a print distributor, and Justin believes this is good news for them.

26:43: Glacier Bay Books licensed the following titles:

28:44: Comics historian and translator Ryan Holmberg announced on Instagram he is translating Tsuge Tadao’s Boat Life, which will be published by Floating World Comics in Spring 2022

29:37: Drawn & Quarterly will release a short story collection of Nazuna Saito’s works under the name Offshore Lightning; Sui Ishida’s newest manga, Choujin X, is now available to read on Shonen Jump and MANGA Plus.

36:16: Gucci and Crunchyroll are teaming up and having an apparel line…Helen has no idea if this will be successful.

37:04: Dragon Ball Super is back! There will be a new film in 2022, but Toei Animation Europe accidentally leaked it a few days before Goku Day, hence why it’s in the weird news section.

37:38: Remember the 4Kids One Piece OP? The creator, Shawn Conrod, explained how that OP came to be!

39:38: Mengo Yokoyari was part of the Chainsaw Man poll. Yokoyari is the manga artist of Scum’s Wish. Why was she part of this poll…?

40:40: Normally a manga ending in JP like how Ai Mai Mi ended would never wind up in the weird news section…but the reasons why it ended have to be read (or heard) to be believed!

41:44: Finally, SuBLime’s release of Dick Fight Island got to #1 on Amazon’s Best Selling Romance Manga list. Sometimes, it really does come down to how you title your work!
