The OASG PodcastShow Notes

0:00: Justin is back after taking off Episode 32 while better people talked about cosplay, and he comes back saying Hi to Helen and being genuinely insufferable.

1:00: Justin and Helen chat briefly about new announcements!…And a few old announcements, like what Seven Seas licensed at AX, VIZ Media and Udon’s announcements at SDCC, and even an update on Rose of Versailles!

That somehow leads to Justin believing RoV will sell well, and Helen thinking it won’t sell as well as Daigo Umehara and Infiniti-T Force manga.

11:00: We get into other news involving Daisuke Namikawa’s admitted affair, Crunchyroll and NBC Universal Entertainment Japan coming to an agreement, Glitter Force: Doki Doki on Netflix, and more, which may or may not be us wondering if the upcoming Persona 5 anime will be better than the Persona anime series before it.

26:30: After Justin’s internet decides to work again, we move from news to Justin chatting about him attending Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine event at Kinokuniya, complete with explaining how Hiromu Arakawa’s kids viciously attack her editor.

31:17: We devote the rest of the podcast to Summer anime! Though literally Justin has watched absolutely no anime compared to Helen. Some of the anime discussed: Aho-Girl, Restaurant in Another World, Made in Abyss, Princess Principal, My First Girlfriend is a Gal, Gamers!!, Knight’s & Magic, Dive, and more.

59:50: We end with some “weird” news of the day: Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Mike Daniels attended SDCC and well, let’s just say he has some cash.

1:02:44: We last end with an official announcement of us going to Otakon! Helen shares deets on her Shoujo You Should Know Panel (on Saturday at 11:30AM EST), which involves pelting people with chocolate. Justin will be doing his usual thing of either interviewing someone or getting lost in DC. Though not on this podcast, Manjiorin is also going to be there so something inevitably embarrassing will happen to the Founder of TheOASG.
